unlikely prom queen

An openly gay teen was voted prom queen at Los Angeles' Fairfax High School in a campaign that began as a stunt but ended up spurring discussion on the campus about gender roles and teen popularity. Sergio Garcia, 18, was crowned queen Saturday night at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

story about kindergarten

I remember my first day of kindergarten. I had to be at school by 8:00 am. So i remember getting up at 7:00 and watching Pokemon with my brothers. So then we got ready and stuff or whatever, and it was like 7:55 and my school was about 5 minutes away. so we got in my moms car and went to school. the only thing that i remember after that is running down the hallways trying to find my class. haha :)

interesting news

In this article, there is a 66 year old women that is pregnant with her first kid. well, actually she's having twins. she lives in the UK, and is divorced. they are so many concerns going around because when her children graduate high school, she'll be 84! although friends argue that she is in a very healthy shape, people can't help but care about her children's future.

frikka-frikka-freeeee posssssttt.

yah know, i was thinking about thumbs the other day. and it struck me- life would be so hard without thumbs. you know? like, they come in handy on so many levels. without thumbs, you can't write, or pick things up, or text. that would be tragic. so this blog is dedicated to thumbs, they derserve more credit.
:)

freeeeeee post :)

for my free post, i chose to put a soccer ball. why? because it's my favorite sport :) i've been playing soccer since i was four years old, and still play for the team here. one problem is that i have a disease in my knee called osgood shlatter, so that has prevented me from playing for a little bit the past 3 years. but even when i'm on crutches, i do my best to at least try and practice, because i just can't stay off the field. soccer is my passion.

something yellow

i chose this big yellow happy face because you should always be happy :) even when life gets you down, you have to learn from it and move on. because i've learned that life does go on and gets better, trust me. whenever one door in your life closes, a bigger and better one comes along. so just be positive. be happy :)

what are you afraid of?

tornadoessss!

1. I am absolutely, positively, and deathly afraid of tornadoes.
2. I don't believe there is anything I can do to get over my fear. I guess i'll just have to know things to do in case there ever is one so i don't die.
3. All I can say about tornadoes is they better not come to florida. because i don't like them. so they should stay somewhere else, like in antarctica or something.

post a picture, tell a story

k, so this is a picture that will be on the class of 2012 t-shirts.
haha, not really. but i wish. instead of studying for my algebra 2 midterms,
i made this lovely masterpiece, and it deserves to be displayed.
i mean, anyone with eyeballs can tell that this is clearly one of a kind.
although i'm sure the school would not approve of these
being on our t-shirts, i'm still gonna make them. like at home.
and everyone will be raging with jealousy
:)

magazine cover

I chose this magazine cover because it was published on the day of my best friend's birthday. This magazine cover talks about genetics, and how it can save lives from diseases, like cancer. Coincidentally, last summer we found out that she has cancer. Maybe one day they will find a cure with the study of genetics.
